We will begin the Lee Hill Ride at the Love’s Travel Stop in Berthoud (3800 CO-56, Berthoud, CO). Meet-up time is 9:30 a.m. with kick stands up at 9:45 a.m. This ride will take us South West for about 32 mi. where we will turn off on Lefthand Canyon in Altona. After a short ride on Lefthand Canyon, we will veer off going South on Olde Stage Rd, and make our way North on Lee Hill back to Lefthand....

The Battle of Beecher Island was an armed conflict between elements of the United States Army and several of the Plains Native American tribes in September 1868. Beecher Island, on the Arikaree River, then known as part of the North Fork of the Republican River, near present-day Wray, CO was named afterwards for Lieutenant Fredrick H.
