On day 5, we left Polson to Salmon, Idaho. Our route took us past all these beautiful places Lolo National Forest, Nez Perce, Clearwater National Forest, Bitterroot Wilderness, passing by Chief Joseph “Yellowstone-Dutton Ranch, Gibbons Pass, along the Salmon River, and more. We stopped in Stevensville Montana for lunch.The ride from Polson, MT to Salmon, ID provided some scenic landscapes including forests, mountains, and rivers. Worst part of this journey was getting through Missoula. A major storm rolled through during the night and knocked out the traffic lights, so traffic was backed way up, and it was stop and go for a while until we were able to finally get out of town. The Salmon River Scenic Byway provided a welcome reprieve from another hot day.
