The Northern Colorado IMRG did the Fort Laramie Wyoming ride. Fort Laramie was a very important location in American’s expansion into the West. It was founded in 1834 as a trading post then 1849 it became a military fort until it close in 1890. It also had major events in history of Trans- Mississippi West, such as fur trading, Oregon Trail, Indian wars. The historic fort has a lot of history to be had and seen. We had lunch at the La Familia Prado Mexican restaurant. We had a fun time good food, great conversations and a lot of water. It was really a hot day.
The Fort Laramie ride was a true test of endurance. We braved the scorching plains as the sun beat down on our helmets. Despite the heat and sweat, we pressed on to see the place that played a significant role in westward expansion.
