Members of the Northern Colorado IMRG headed to Grand Junction for the inaugural South Region IMRG Roundup from September 9th through September 13th. The vision of the Roundup is to create an annual South Region gathering that showcases fantastic local roads, fosters inter-chapter bonds, and rotates to a new host chapter each year. Think of it less as a formal rally and more as a casual gathering of friends coming together for great rides and good times.

For Day-1 on Wednesday September 9th, we traveled 339 miles from Ted’s Place in Laporte to our homebase at the DoubleTree Hotel in Grand Junction. Our route took us over Poudre Canyon and over Cameron Pass to Walden. From there, we went over Rabbit Ears Pass, through Steamboat, and stopped for lunch in Craig. Afterward we turned south going through Meeker. Finally we headed west out of Rifle on I-70 to our Grand Junction destination.
