For Day 4, we opted for a slightly shorter, high-altitude loop to make sure everyone had plenty of time to get back, unwind, and rest up for the night’s Roundup banquet party! Our route took us right up and over Colorado Highway 65—the Grand Mesa National Scenic Byway. Leaving the valley floor behind, we made our way up from Plateau Canyon, climbing through dense aspen groves all the way to the top of the world’s largest flat-topped mountain. We were treated to crisp alpine air, and sweeping mountain vistas.
