NoCo IMRG Informer Newsletter (November 2025)

Northern Colorado IMRG Informer Newsletter

Mother Nature has treated us to some beautiful late-season riding days — hopefully you’ve been able to enjoy a few miles before winter settles in. As we wind down the year, the November 2025 edition of the Informer is ready for you, filled with chapter updates, ride opportunities, and plenty of great reading. The full PDF is attached to this email.

Inside this month’s issue, you’ll find details on our upcoming activities, including the November Chapter Meeting with a post-meeting lunch ride, our annual participation in Wreaths Across America, and the Holiday Social on December 13th. These gatherings are a great chance to connect with fellow members, recap the year, and look ahead to the next.

We revisit Colorado’s still-new motorcycle lane filtering law, highlighting why adoption remains low and what riders should keep in mind as the practice becomes more familiar. You’ll enjoy a thoughtful look at why the classic motorcycle wave sometimes isn’t returned, and Paul Carroll provides a helpful safety refresher on riding two-up with a passenger. There’s practical guidance for confidently passing big rigs, too — perfect reading before your next long ride.

This edition brings some big industry news as well: Indian Motorcycle is splitting from Polaris and becoming an independent company again, marking a major moment for the brand. On the performance side, we feature Tyler O’Hara’s incredible run at the Bonneville Salt Flats, where he pushed an Indian Challenger to 194 mph, breaking a long-standing speed record. To round things out, we share the history of Vern’s Place, a beloved Northern Colorado landmark and one of our favorite starting points for local rides.

A quick reminder: 2026 membership renewal is approaching. Watch your email for details. Dues will remain $25 for the year.

Thank you for being part of the Northern Colorado IMRG family. Enjoy the newsletter, stay warm as the seasons begin to shift, and take advantage of any remaining riding days.
