Day 6 – Today was a 215-mile loop through the heart of Arkansas. From high cliffs to dragging pegs on legendary hairpins, this ride had it all. We rode some of the best asphalt in the country today.
We left our home in Springdale to find the soul of the Buffalo River region. After a stop in Ponca, we hit the legendary Cliff House Inn. There’s something about having lunch overlooking the ‘Arkansas Grand Canyon’ that just makes the rest of the world’s problems disappear.
Another highlight of the day was the Arkansas Dragon with its hairpin turns providing an adrenaline rush.
We finished the loop through the deep timber of the Ozark National Forest, stopping in the old timber capital of Pettigrew to soak in a little local hospitality before riding on to Springdale.
Today was a perfect example of why we ride.
