I’m a father of five. My wife Michelle and I have been married for over 30 years. She is a new rider and also a member of NoCo IMRG. My love of motorcycling started in my mid-30’s. Prior to that, I’d never ridden at all. Like a lot of people, I caught the bug after watching shows “Long Way Round” and reading books like “Jupiter’s Travels” and “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”. I was first encouraged to ride and shown the way by two larger-than-life, brothers-in-law who were life-long riders. I’ve always been one to enjoy the journey more than the destination. And road-tripping was already a hobby. On a motorcycle, I immediately fell in love with the experience and freedom of riding in some of the most scenic areas of the country—visiting back roads and towns I’m sure I would have never noticed otherwise. Whether a short afternoon trip or a multi-day adventure of thousands of miles, riding is a joy unlike any other.
