DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Motorcycle Skills Practice \n  \nRiding Season will soon be in full swing.  Many of us have not ridden\, or have done minimal riding\, for the last several months.  This will not be a formal training session\, but rather an open practice session.  We will still setup cone patterns for NoCo IMRG Chapter members to practice some of the slow maneuver techniques that Paul has taught us in previous training sessions.  The idea behind this informal practice session is to knock off some of the rust we’ve accumulated\, and to regain clutch and throttle control\, and remembering to turn our head and eyes in the direction we need to go. \nWe encourage all Chapter Members to come out and practice\, and start getting warmed-up for all the awesome riding this year. It doesn’t matter what your riding skill is – there’s no judgement – just support and encouragement. The only way to become a better and safer rider out on the street is to practice. \nWe will meet at the Fort Collins Timberline Church at 12:00 p.m. Come on out and start getting dialed back in for the upcoming riding season in a safe environment\, gain some reassurance\, and have some fun! \nAbout Northern Colorado IMRG

DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Road Survival Skills Training \n  \nPaul Carroll\, Northern Colorado Safety Advisor and certified motor officer instructor\, will host a Rider Skills Training session for Chapter Members. \nIt’s time to start thinking about getting your riding skill set back!  There is a GREAT Opportunity to do just this.  Paul will be teaching a skills session on Saturday\, March 23rd.  Start planning now to attend.  The skills course will start being set up at 11am. We will plan to begin the session at Noon and run until 2 pm. This will allow for warmer temps.  This session will focus on getting back to the basics. Paul will be working to get riders back to having their heads turning\, braking correctly\, making tighter turns and better handling of their friction zone!  This is a FREE session.   Come out and take advantage of taking control of your motorcycle and practicing so you are more prepared. DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Fort Laramie Chapter Ride \n***** CANCELLED ***** \nDue to the expected cold weather conditions on Saturday October 14th\, intensified by the Wyoming winds and long distance travel\, the Fort Laramie Chapter Ride has been cancelled. We do not want to expose anyone to these less than fair riding conditions. In the meantime\, please stay safe and warm and hope to see you at our Chapter meeting on Saturday October 21st. \n  \n  \n  \nThe NoCo IMRG Fort Laramie Ride is this Saturday\, October 14th. We will meet at Ted’s Place (gas station at corner of Highway 287 & 14). Meet time is 9:30 am with KSU @10:00 am. This will be an all-day ride (7 to 8 hour day). Lunch stop will be somewhere around Wheatland\, WY. We will tour Fort Laramie and finish the day’s ride at the Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins. \nThis ride will be about 330 miles\, and is rated at a Level 4-5 (depending on the Wyoming wind). \nFort Laramie was first established as a private fur trading post in 1834. Officially\, this first Fort Laramie was named “Fort William” in honor of its founder William Sublette. Fort William was replaced in 1841 by the second Fort Laramie\, which was named “Fort John” and also served as a private trading post. Fort John was purchased by the military in 1849 and officially was renamed “Fort Laramie.” Fort Laramie continued in operation until 1890 when it was abandoned. DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Progressive Dinner Ride \n  \nProgressive dinner ride is where we make multiple stops at various member homes for a portion of the meal. 1st stop appetizers\, 2nd stop soup/salad\, 3rd stop main course\, 4th stop dessert. \n  \nThis is usually a pretty popular ride so if you have not been on one this is a great opportunity to do so and also meet a lot of people!
