SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Snowy Range-Walden Ride
DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Snowy Range-Walden Chapter Ride \nWe will meet at Ted’s Place (gas station at corner of Hwy 287 and 14;  6511 US-287 Laporte\, CO) @8:00am (KSU 8:30am).  Riding along the Poudre Canyon to Walden and then over the Snowy Range is a beautiful ride.  We will ascend the Poudre Canyon\, which is a narrow\, winding canyon with tower cliffs and gradually climb up Cameron Pass where the views are incredible\, then descend toward Walden.  The Snowy Range is a mountain range that straddles the border between Colorado and Wyoming and is known for its stunning views and alpine meadows.  This ride is a bit challenging\, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.  The views are stunning\, the scenery is varied\, and the riding is fun.  We will be stopping for lunch along the way (location to be determined)\, and will end the ride back at Ted’s Place. \n  \n  \nGoing on NoCo IMRG Group Motorcycle Rides \n \nAbout Northern Colorado IMRG

Since its beginning\, private area businesses throwing events such as races\, concerts\, and rides have made\, and continue to make\, the Sturgis Rally what it is today. 2023 will mark the 83rd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Glenwood Springs Loop Multi-Nighter
DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter Member Glenwood Springs Multi-Nighter \nThis will be an enjoyable 3-day\, 2-night Northern Colorado motorcycle road trip where we will experience some stunning scenery and diverse terrain.  We will ride on twisting roads with amazing mountain views\, and ride through many small towns. \nOur journey will take us on a 578 mile loop where we begin in Loveland\, CO\, and ride across the Trail Ridge Rd in Rocky Mountain National Park to Grand Lake/Lake Granby.  We will travel to Leadville\, and then a bit north to Red Cliff where we will spend the first night. \nOn day two\, we will ride south to Twin Lakes\, and then north through Aspen and into Glenwood Springs.  Glenwood Springs is the western most pivotal point of the ride loop.  We will have lunch in Glenwood Springs\, and explore the town.  Afterward\, we will continue north to Yampa to spend the night.  Day three will route us through Walden and over Cameron Pass.  We’ll ride through Poudre Canyon back home\, and end the ride at Ted’s Place. \nThis is a good time of year to ride motorcycles in the Northern Colorado mountains\, when the weather is warm and sunny. However\, as you know\, the weather and temperature can be unpredictable.  Be sure to pack your rain suits\, and have extra layers you can put on and take off to keep warm and to cool off. \nThe overall ride rating for this trip is 4 (1=easy\, 5=most difficult).  This is rated at 4 due to longer ride mileage (i.e. 200 mile days)\, and riding mountain roads with lots of curves.  There is also some interstate riding.  The longer riding distance and curvy roads will require extra energy and stamina\, and more advance technical skill to round the curves. \nItinerary\nThe itinerary outlines the starting and ending points for the day\, and lists some of the towns we will pass through.  The recommended hotel to stay for the night is listed along with the website of the hotel.  You can stay at the listed hotel\, or another of your choosing.  You should book your hotel room as soon as possible. \nDay 1 Saturday July 29th\n208 miles riding from Loveland\, CO to Red Cliff\, CO. \n\nMeetup at Jax (the West Loveland location):\n\n2665 W Eisenhower Blvd Loveland\, CO \nMeet time: 7:00 a.m.  KSU: 7:15 a.m. \nWe will be traveling over Trail Ridge Rd through Rocky Mountain National Park\, and must enter the Park before 9:00am (otherwise a park entrance reservation is required). \n\nRocky Mountain Park Entrance\n\nIf driving over Trail Ridge Road\, motorcycle riders may enter the park before 9 a.m. or after 2 p.m. without a timed entry permit. \nMotorcycle standard entrance pass fee is $25 (cashless payment only i.e. Credit Card). This is open to all skill levels\, and also to both two and three wheels.  Those who have come out before stated they learned a great deal! \nThese sessions are designed to build and enforce safety\, emergency\, and general riding skills for beginner to advanced riders.  Topics include slow speed riding skills\, parking skills\, obstacle avoidance maneuvers\, mental alertness while riding\, and more! \nYou will learn a lot by just coming and trying different maneuvering techniques with coaching through a series of obstacles designed to help you become better at operating your motorcycle.  You will leave a better rider than when you came.  While you will learn valuable skills at the session\, they are intended to be practiced periodically on your own so you will continue to improve. \nDon’t forget to bring lots of water to drink\, and any snacks to keep you energized.  \n  \nWe hope to see you there.  You may save your own life by something you learn!!! \n  \nAbout Northern Colorado IMRG \n \n

SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Chapter Meeting (May) & Howling Cow Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter Meeting (May) \n  \nOur regular Chapter meeting at the Dealership @9:30am.  After our Chapter meeting\, we will take a short ride to the Howling Cow Café in Bellvue.  The Café is a coffee shop with light fare located at the Morning Fresh Dairy Farm (well known for producing noosa yoghurt). \n  \nWe will take a private tour of the Farm\, scheduled for 1:30pm\, and will last up to an hour and a half.  The tour is $6 per person.  We had to pre-pay to hold the spots\, so we will collect money at the meeting from those who will be taking the tour.  We will also take lunch orders at the meeting so they can be placed at the Café prior to our arrival (per their request). \n\n  \n\nFor more information on preparing for our NoCo IMRG group rides\, click the link below: \nGoing on NoCo IMRG Group Motorcycle Rides \n  \nThe Northern Colorado Indian Motorcycle Riders Group of Fort Collins is about riding\, socializing\, and having fun. DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter Road Officer Training \nWe will attempt this again after being canceled twice already due to inclement weather. \n\n\nWhat: NoCo IMRG Road Officer Training\nWhen: Saturday May 13th @9:00am \nWhere: Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins Dealership\n\n \n\nMark Whaley\, Road Director\, will be conducting Road Officer Training.  Any Chapter Member interested in becoming a Road Officer or remaining a Road Officer should plan to attend this training on your bike.  Meetup will be at the Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins.  Road Officers are responsible for planning\, briefing\, leading and sweeping our Chapter rides throughout the year. \n\nRoad Officer responsibilities Include (but not limited to): \n• Plan\, lead and sweep ride routes for Chapter ride events\n• Appoint “fill in” Road Officer(s) as necessary\n• Provide a pre-ride overview: road conditions\, safety\, planned stops\, etc.\n• Follows and adheres to the NoCo IMRG Road Officer manual\n• Verify each rider has signed the appropriate liability waiver on each ride\n• Will make every effort to pre-ride the route prior to the scheduled ride\n• Will lead at a pace appropriate for the riding abilities of the group \n• Provide stress free as possible guided ride for participating group riders\n• Provide assistance to any group member in case of difficulty \nRoad Officers are expected to attend a Road Officer Training each year (e.g. this training session)\, Lead a minimum of one ride during the year\, and Sweep at minimum one ride during the year. \n\nAnyone wishing to be a Road Officer\, please plan to attend.

DESCRIPTION:International Female Ride Day – 2023 | NoCo IMRG Chapter Member Ride\n \nOn the first Saturday in May\, International Female Ride Day (IFRD) celebrates women motorcycle riders. The day also encourages and empowers other women to get involved in powersports.  The NoCo IMRG will ride in celebration of IFRD. \nOn Saturday May 6th\, meet us @9:00am at the Dealership with KSU at 9:30am.  We will ride to Laramie and take Happy Jack Rd to Cheyenne where we will have lunch at the Bunkhouse Bar & Grill.  Afterward\, we will head South on Highway 285 and end the ride in Ault. \nHappy Jack Road is a scenic route connecting Cheyenne and Laramie.  The road itself is approximately 37 miles long and winds through the Medicine Bow National Forest.  The road is well-maintained and easy to ride.  Along the way\, you will see a variety of landscapes\, including towering mountains\, and rolling hills. \nThis IFRD ride route is 160 miles with a total of 2.75 hours saddle time.  The ride is rated at 2 (1=easy; 5=hard) with some highway speeds and short interstate riding. \n  \nFor more information on preparing for our NoCo IMRG group rides\, click the link below: \nGoing on NoCo IMRG Group Motorcycle Rides \nThe Northern Colorado Indian Motorcycle Riders Group of Fort Collins is about riding\, socializing\, and having fun. SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Beecher Island Battlefield Ride
DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter Member Beecher Island Battlefield Ride \nThis ride will take us to the Beecher Island Battlefield in Wray\, CO. \nThe Battle of Beecher Island was an armed conflict between elements of the United States Army and several of the Plains Native American tribes in September 1868. Beecher Island\, on the Arikaree River\, then known as part of the North Fork of the Republican River\, near present-day Wray\, CO was named afterwards for Lieutenant Fredrick H.
