DESCRIPTION:Wreaths Across America \n  \nAttending Wreaths Across America is a NoCo IMRG tradition.  We will meet at the Grandview Cemetery @9:45 a.m. located at 1900 W Mountain Ave\, Fort Collins.  The ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m.  Wreath placement will immediately follow the ceremony. \n  \nWreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization that places wreaths on the graves of veterans at cemeteries across the United States.  Its mission is to “Remember the fallen\, Honor those who serve\, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.” \n  \nIt is a very humbling experience to be able to pay tribute to veterans who are no longer with us by laying wreaths upon their grave sites.  You can learn more about this national event at WreathsAcrossAmerica.org.  Please consider sponsoring a wreath at Grandview Cemetery (COGVFC)\, or any other location. \n  \nWreaths Across America is about remembering and honoring our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.

DESCRIPTION:It’s always a perfect time to work on your riding skills! This is a GREAT Opportunity to do just this. Paul Carroll\, a member of our Chapter and a certified motor officer instructor\, will be teaching a skills session on Saturday\, October 4th. Start planning now to attend. The skills session will go from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Paul will be working to get riders braking correctly\, making tighter turns and to better handle their friction zone! This is a FREE session. Come out and take advantage of taking control of your motorcycle and practicing so you are more prepared. We hope to see you there! \nTraining is at the Timberline Church (2908 S Timberline Rd\, Fort Collins). Be sure to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Also bring snacks to keep your energy level up.

This is your chance to catch up with fellow riders\, swap stories\, and extend a warm welcome to everyone. \nPost meeting\, we’ll do a Cinnamon Roll Ride to the Glen Haven General Store. \nAfter hangin’ out in Glen Haven\, for those looking for more adventure\, we’ll head to Estes Park and then route our way through Lyons via Hwy 7 (part of the Peak-to-Peak highway). We’ll then traverse the Ute Hwy (66) and end the ride at the Walmart in Longmont. \nThis ride is also the Northern Colorado IMRG’s official National Charity Ride for Folds of Honor. \nThis ride is rated a Level 5 for mountainous riding\, switchbacks\, ride duration\, and higher highway speeds. This will be a Level 1-2 ride (1=easy\, 5=hard) – a relaxed\, 39-mile flatland cruise along back county roads. DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Dowdy Lake Picnic Ride \n  \n  \nThis will be a tranquil ride that will have you viewing and enjoying the scenery along the way. Dowdy Lake is a picturesque lake that serves as the centerpiece of the Dowdy Lake State Wildlife Area in Red Feather Lakes and is surrounded by the Roosevelt National Forest. \nOn this ride\, you will bring your own BROWN BAG picnic lunch to savor while overlooking this beautiful lake. Red Feather has a few areas that are common use areas and Dowdy Lake is one of them. There are restrooms in the area at the Lake where we are planning to visit. \nThere is a drop-box to pay a $5 day-use fee (per motorcycle)\, so be sure to have cash or check on-hand. We will enjoy our lunch and camaraderie with one another while taking in the serenity of the lake and its surrounding. \nWe will meet at the Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins and take back roads to US287 and cut off on Red Feather Lakes Rd where The Forks Mercantile is located. Traveling on Red Feather Lakes Rd will take us to Dowdy Lake. DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter Meeting \n  \nMay 17th (Saturday) Chapter Meeting: 9:30 a.m. at Timberline Church in Fort Collins. \nOur May chapter meeting will be held in the south parking lot at Timberline Church (2908 S Timberline Rd\, Fort Collins).  Our May Chapter meeting will be held outdoors at the Timberline Church.  Be sure to bring a chair for the meeting\, or sit in the saddle of your bike if you prefer.  Immediately following the chapter meeting\, we’ll do a Ride Ready Skills Practice. \n  \nWe’ll guide you through a few basic cone patterns in a controlled setting\, helping you to build up confidence\, and to further prepare for upcoming rides. Think of it as a judgment-free zone where we simply come together to try and improve.  It’s simply about personal growth\, and becoming more a more capable rider. \n  \nBring a chair for the meeting.  If the weather doesn’t cooperate\, we’ll move the meeting to the dealership and cancel the skills practice.  Keep an eye on your email and our Facebook group for updates.  Let’s get riding! \n  \n  \nAbout Northern Colorado IMRG
