SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Glenwood Springs Loop Multi-Nighter
DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter Member Glenwood Springs Multi-Nighter \nThis will be an enjoyable 3-day\, 2-night Northern Colorado motorcycle road trip where we will experience some stunning scenery and diverse terrain.  We will ride on twisting roads with amazing mountain views\, and ride through many small towns. \nOur journey will take us on a 578 mile loop where we begin in Loveland\, CO\, and ride across the Trail Ridge Rd in Rocky Mountain National Park to Grand Lake/Lake Granby.  We will travel to Leadville\, and then a bit north to Red Cliff where we will spend the first night. \nOn day two\, we will ride south to Twin Lakes\, and then north through Aspen and into Glenwood Springs.  Glenwood Springs is the western most pivotal point of the ride loop.  We will have lunch in Glenwood Springs\, and explore the town.  Afterward\, we will continue north to Yampa to spend the night.  Day three will route us through Walden and over Cameron Pass.  We’ll ride through Poudre Canyon back home\, and end the ride at Ted’s Place. \nThis is a good time of year to ride motorcycles in the Northern Colorado mountains\, when the weather is warm and sunny. However\, as you know\, the weather and temperature can be unpredictable.  Be sure to pack your rain suits\, and have extra layers you can put on and take off to keep warm and to cool off. \nThe overall ride rating for this trip is 4 (1=easy\, 5=most difficult).  This is rated at 4 due to longer ride mileage (i.e. 200 mile days)\, and riding mountain roads with lots of curves.  There is also some interstate riding.  The longer riding distance and curvy roads will require extra energy and stamina\, and more advance technical skill to round the curves. \nItinerary\nThe itinerary outlines the starting and ending points for the day\, and lists some of the towns we will pass through.  The recommended hotel to stay for the night is listed along with the website of the hotel.  You can stay at the listed hotel\, or another of your choosing.  You should book your hotel room as soon as possible. \nDay 1 Saturday July 29th\n208 miles riding from Loveland\, CO to Red Cliff\, CO. \n\nMeetup at Jax (the West Loveland location):\n\n2665 W Eisenhower Blvd Loveland\, CO \nMeet time: 7:00 a.m.  KSU: 7:15 a.m. \nWe will be traveling over Trail Ridge Rd through Rocky Mountain National Park\, and must enter the Park before 9:00am (otherwise a park entrance reservation is required). \n\nRocky Mountain Park Entrance\n\nIf driving over Trail Ridge Road\, motorcycle riders may enter the park before 9 a.m. or after 2 p.m. without a timed entry permit. \nMotorcycle standard entrance pass fee is $25 (cashless payment only i.e. Credit Card). We do not have a Block of rooms\, but you can mention that you are with the Indian group as I have talked to them and said we are coming. They have over 50 rooms at this time still left. You are responsible to book and cancel your own room for this ride event. We will be staying the entire trip at this hotel. \nChecking out Monday\, July 26th- travel day home. \nThe ride kicks off Thursday as the travel day up to the Black Hills. Mark Whaley and Randall Holman are your Road Officers for this trip. You should have made your own room reservations in Deadwood\, SD based on the information already put out over the past several months. There are several working pieces to this trip. There are plans to visit the Badlands ($25.00 a bike) Visit Crazy Horse ($10.00 per bike rider) and a few other activities along the way. We are also working on meeting up with the Sturgis IMRG Chapter on Saturday for either a meet and greet at the dealership and or a ride with them (these details are currently being worked on and more details will come as we get closer).  There is a casino in the hotel and surrounding areas if you plan to gamble\, it is at your own expense as well. Please have a little extra $$$ cash for extra activities you and or the group may want to experience. Monday will be the travel home day…. \nWhen this ride gets closer\, we are going to have to have a Ride Roster to know who is planning on attending the ride. We will be putting that request out the week prior to make sure we are not leaving anyone behind. We do NOT ASSUME you are going or not going… it is your responsibility to assist the Road Officers in letting them know you are going to be on this trip etc. Fuel stops have been planned as they normally are for all sizes of tanks\, bikes. Mark did a great job last year in planning the route and I am sure has come up with a grand plan for this trip as well. Stay tuned to more information to come. \nWe will be meeting at the Maverick at Highway 14 and I25 (This is at the corner of the frontage road that normally comes out at the dealership one exit north). Meet at 7:00am with KSU at 7:30 am. \n  \nGoing on Group Motorcycle Rides with NoCo IMRG

SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Five State Run
DESCRIPTION:This event has been CANCELLED.  Message posted on 5 State Run Facebook page \nAfter much consideration\, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 5-State Run. After discussing the issue with local officials and monitoring the State of Oklahoma’s response\, we believe it is in the best interest for the health and safety of our participants and our community. This is not a decision we take lightly. \nFor those who have pre-registered\, we are honoring your registrations for the 2021 Run. We also understand some of you may be directly impacted by the recent economic downturn. If you have been furloughed\, laid off or your business has been shutdown\, please reach out to us at the email listed below to discuss a refund. We understand our policy states “No Refunds”\, but due to the current national situation we want to do right by our participants who make the Run what it is. \nAs a lot of you may know\, Iron Thunder MC uses this Run as our one and only fundraiser for the year. We use the monies raised to help people in our community facing medical or disaster hardships beyond their control. This decision weighed heavily on us as it will greatly impact our ability to give back to our community and help those in need. We hope you understand our decision and will be ready to head out to No Man’s Land Saturday\, May 8\, 2021\, for the 18th Annual 5-State Run. We appreciate each and every one of you and hope you are all safe and healthy! \nfivestaterun@hotmail.com
