DESCRIPTION:International Female Ride Day – 2023 | NoCo IMRG Chapter Member Ride\n \nOn the first Saturday in May\, International Female Ride Day (IFRD) celebrates women motorcycle riders. The day also encourages and empowers other women to get involved in powersports.  The NoCo IMRG will ride in celebration of IFRD. \nOn Saturday May 6th\, meet us @9:00am at the Dealership with KSU at 9:30am.  We will ride to Laramie and take Happy Jack Rd to Cheyenne where we will have lunch at the Bunkhouse Bar & Grill.  Afterward\, we will head South on Highway 285 and end the ride in Ault. \nHappy Jack Road is a scenic route connecting Cheyenne and Laramie.  The road itself is approximately 37 miles long and winds through the Medicine Bow National Forest.  The road is well-maintained and easy to ride.  Along the way\, you will see a variety of landscapes\, including towering mountains\, and rolling hills. \nThis IFRD ride route is 160 miles with a total of 2.75 hours saddle time.  The ride is rated at 2 (1=easy; 5=hard) with some highway speeds and short interstate riding. \n  \nFor more information on preparing for our NoCo IMRG group rides\, click the link below: \nGoing on NoCo IMRG Group Motorcycle Rides \nThe Northern Colorado Indian Motorcycle Riders Group of Fort Collins is about riding\, socializing\, and having fun. SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Beecher Island Battlefield Ride
DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter Member Beecher Island Battlefield Ride \nThis ride will take us to the Beecher Island Battlefield in Wray\, CO. \nThe Battle of Beecher Island was an armed conflict between elements of the United States Army and several of the Plains Native American tribes in September 1868. Beecher Island\, on the Arikaree River\, then known as part of the North Fork of the Republican River\, near present-day Wray\, CO was named afterwards for Lieutenant Fredrick H. DESCRIPTION:Estes Park Ride / Fall Colors Ride\n \nThis Saturday\, October 8th\, will be our always popular ride up through Estes Park\, CO and beyond to see the fall colors for NoCo IMRG chapter members. Meet up time will be 9:30 a.m. at the Indian Dealership\, with kickstands up planned for 10:00 a.m. \nFrom the dealership\, we’ll head out through Fort Collins\, to Masonville\, then up highway 34 through Glen Haven to Estes Park. In Estes Park\, we’ll take a break and then on to the Peak-to-Peak highway Nederland. In Nederland\, we’ll take another break and determine if we want more riding & fall colors\, or just head back down to Boulder or Longmont for lunch. We’ll end the ride in one of those two spots for all that might need to leave early. But if enough are interested then the remaining group will head back to Fort Collins and close the ride back at the Indian dealership. \nReports are that the colors this year along this route are great! DESCRIPTION:Snowy Range Ride\n \nNoCo IMRG chapter members will be riding on Saturday\, September 24th\, …doing the full\, Snowy Range loop! \nThis is a 280 mile all day ride where we will ride to Laramie and across the Snowy Range Scenic Byway. This scenic ride takes us through the splendor of the Snowy Range Mountains with awe-inspiring mountain peaks. As we exit near Saratoga\, we will head South to Riverside where we will stop for lunch at the Bear Trap. The ride route will then take us back into Colorado where we will loop back into Wyoming to Laramie\, and finally back to Ted’s Place where the ride will end (the ride will also start at Ted’s Place). \nHere are the details: \n\nMeet at Ted’s Place (6511 US-287\, Laporte\, CO 80535)\, a gas station off of US287\, at 8:00 am on Saturday\, September 24th\nKickstands up at 8:30 am.\nArrive in Riverside ~12:45 for lunch\nBack at Ted’s place ~4:45pm\nWe will make some scenic and gas stops along the way.\n\nThe weather forecast is looking good – sunny with a high of 61 degrees\, no rain\, and low wind. However\, parts of this ride approach 11\,000 feet in elevation! So please dress in layers–we will experience warm-to-cold-to-hot along the way. DESCRIPTION:Lee Hill Ride\n \nNoCo IMRG chapter members will be riding the Lee Hill route in Boulder County on Sun\, Apr 24th. \nWe will begin the Lee Hill Ride at the Love’s Travel Stop in Berthoud (3800 CO-56\, Berthoud\, CO). Meet-up\ntime is 9:30 a.m. with kick stands up at 9:45 a.m. \nThis ride will take us South West for about 32 mi. where we will turn off on Lefthand Canyon in Altona. After a short ride on Lefthand Canyon\, we will veer off going South on Olde Stage Rd\, and make our way North on Lee Hill back to Lefthand. The ride will loop East back on Lefthand to Hwy 36. We will head North to Lyons for lunch at the Cluck-n-Burger food trailer parked behind the Spirit Hound Distillers (looking at the reviews\, the locals seem to like this road side food shack\, so we will give it a try). This is where we will end the ride. \nThe ride from Love’s Travel to Lyons is 50 miles\, with a 1½ hour ride time. \nThis ride is rated 4 (1=easy – 5=difficult) for curvy mountain riding. Randall is lead with Mark sweeping.\n\n\n\nThis ride is anticipated to be ~4hrs and ~120mi. The ride is rated at a level 4 (1 easy – 5 hard) with mountain riding and curvy roads. Bring your own brown bag lunch. We will pull off in a stop area off of Brainard Lake Rd.\n\n\n\nLooks like we will have some great weather. Sunny and dry with temperatures reaching the low 70s. DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter Meeting & Ride \nTHIS IS A SATURDAY! NoCo 2036 JULY Chapter Members Meeting.  This was voted on last year to try a Saturday meeting with a ride to follow. We will hold a BRIEF meeting\, a short demonstration\, then leave out on our ride. Currently the plan is the Pikes Peak Chapter is going to be traveling North to join us for some or all of the meeting\, and going along for the ride. \nWe will kick off our Chapter meeting at 10:00 am sharp.  By 10:30 am we plan to have the meeting wrapped up.  It’s anticipated the Pikes Peak chapter will have arrived and gotten their t-shirts and restroom break  We will have a short ride brief and head out on our ride at 11:00am. We plan to take a ride around Horsetooth and Carter lakes to provide some scenic views of the Northern Colorado area to allow our fellow guests to enjoy some of what we get to ride every day if we choose. Around 1:00-1:30 we have a planned lunch stop at Oskar Blues in Longmont. We will have an RSVP set and they will be expecting us. DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter Member Ride | Progressive Dinner Ride. \nProgressive dinner ride is where we make multiple stops at various member homes for a portion of the meal.  1st stop appetizers\, 2nd stop soup/salad\, 3rd stop main course\, 4th stop dessert. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt may be cooling down a bit; however\, we are still riding! Make plans for this Sunday\, October 4th for our Progressive ride. We will he starting the ride at the dealership. Meet time is 10:00 am with KSU at 10:30 am. Join us for a day of riding and stopping at host homes for a bite to eat and off again for another ride to another host home and so on.  It will be a nice day to get out and twist the throttle and ride\, be social\, eat\, enjoy friends\, and just plain have FUN!  Temperatures look to be in the high 60’s to low70’s for the areas we will be going to visit\, and as of now … no rain in the forecast!\n\nThis is usually a pretty popular ride so if you have not been on one or have not come and joined your membership in riding and fun – this is a great opportunity to do so and also meet a lot of people! DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter member Fall Colors Ride \n\n\n\n\n\nFor the Fall Colors ride we will meet at the dealership on Sunday September 27th at 9:00am with KSU at 9:30am. This will be about a 70 mile ride lasting approximately 2.5 hours. Hopefully we will see some nice Fall foliage along the way.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will ride across Rist Canyon\, then down Stove Prairie Rd toward Masonville. We’ll stop and stretch our legs in Masonville for a bit\, then ride along Horseshoe Reservoir toward Bellvue\, and ride back to the dealership.\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease arrive with a full tank of gas. Remember this is a Sunday and the dealership will be closed\, so be sure to take any restroom breaks before arriving. DESCRIPTION:NoCo IMRG Chapter member Cabela’s Ride \nOn this ride\, we will ride out to Cabela’s\, the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting\, fishing and outdoor gear in Sidney\, Nebraska. \n  \nJoin us for a ride where it all began… Cabela’s that is\, in Sydney NE.  Why are we riding to Cabela’s in Syndey\, NE you ask?  Why not – it beats sitting in the house.  We need to take advantage of this riding weather while we have it!  When are we doing this you ask?  Sunday\, Sept 20th. You even have time to plan to come!  We will be meeting at 8:00 am with KSU at 8:30 am at the Dealership.  Come with a full tank of gas and empty bladder as the dealership is closed at that time. We will be making a fuel stop in Sterling.  \nWe are planning to stay off the interstates on this route. We will be visiting the store for a bit then off to a lunch stop. From there we will proceed home. Come out and join your fellow riding brothers and sisters for a nice level 2 flat lander ride. SUMMARY:NoCo IMRG Terry Bison Ranch Ride
DESCRIPTION:Northern Colorado IMRG Chapter member ride | Terry Bison Ranch \nLet’s go on America’s only Bison Train Tour!  This unique and one-of-a-kind tour takes you on a custom-built train to see bison up close. \nThis is a flatlander ride to Terry Bison Ranch.  We will meet at the Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins dealership at 8:00 am with KSU at 8:30 am.  Riding to Terry Bison Ranch\, we will take CO 14 to Ault\, North on US 85\, then West on Terry Ranch Rd (WY 223).  It will be about an hour ride to the Ranch\, and will arrive around 9:30 am. \nAt 10:30 am you can take the Bison Train Tour where you will see ostriches\, camels\, and other farm animals\, but more importantly – lots of bison.  The bison will come up to the train cars for you to feed them treats.  The Bison Train Tour costs $15/person\, and fills quickly\, so you will want to purchase your ticket when we first arrive at the Ranch.  The Bison Train Tour lasts about an hour. \nWe will plan on lunch at the Senator’s Steakhouse Restaurant upon completing the Bison Train Tour at around 11:30 am (lunch menu items in the range of $14-$20).  We will leave additional time after lunch for you to explore some more if you want. \nAt around 1:15 pm we will head South taking I25 and end the ride event at the Dealership (about a 35 minute ride). \n\nRemember this is a Sunday and the dealership will be closed\, so be sure to take any restroom breaks before arriving.  Also\, please arrive with a full tank of gas as we will not be making any stops to and from the Ranch. \nTotal ride is approximately 92 miles.  This ride is rated at a difficulty level of 2 (on a scale of 5) as we are likely to encounter winds as we approach Wyoming\, and due to some Interstate riding. \nRandall will be leading this ride with Paul as sweep. \n  \nGoing on Group Motorcycle Rides with NoCo IMRG

SUMMARY:International Female Ride Day
DESCRIPTION:The NoCo IMRG will be doing a Chapter ride to promote Female riders. \nAugust 22nd is International Female Ride Day. We are going to celebrate as a chapter and promote women riding by doing a chapter ride. This one is a ride/event. To promote riding we will meet at the dealership at 10:30am with KSU @ 11:00am. We are going to do a small ride and end up at the Red Barn Spomer Farm.  \nWe are then going to get a mini tour and be able to go out and see the buffalos and visit “Trouble” (some have heard us talking about him).”  While there you will have the opportunity to purchase buffalo meat as they have buffalo burger and steaks. They also have jerky too.  Bring a cooler to keep your meat cold on the rest of the ride.  Purchases at the ranch are CASH ONLY. You can buy as much or as little as you choose.  \nOnce our tour is over we have been invited to the Kost family home where we will be riding over as a group from the farm and we will be firing up the grill to cook something you purchased.  At the BBQ all of the sides will be provided. So come out to support female riding by riding this day with us as a group and going to a new place to see buffalos up close along with getting to purchase buffalo meat.  Then join the BBQ and taste some of your purchased items.  We will probably be at the BBQ around 1:30-2:00 pm.  If you can’t make the ride/event and would like to come to the BBQ contact Dawn Carroll @ nocoimrg@gmail.com for further details.  \nThis ride is a level 2 ride.
