Trish Rogers

Trish Rogers – Northern Colorado IMRG Secretary

I have only been riding my own bike for 3 years.  Got my endorsement August 2016 at the age of 59 and started out with a Honda Shadow VTX 700cc.  Four months later my husband surprised me with my first Indian – the Scout.  1 1/2 years later I graduated to my big girl bike, a 2018 Chieftain Dark Horse.  I tell women who are afraid to ride, if I can do it, anyone can!  You’re never too old.

Of course, I have my husband, Ron, to thank for gently pushing me and encouraging me to get my endorsement.  I didn’t think I was cut out to ride, too old, too scared, etc.  But I can honestly say I’m loving it.  I love the brand (Indian Motorcycle), I love the way the bike handles with its low center of gravity, and it’s fast!

I enjoy being in the NoCo IMRG chapter and have made great friends.  My skills have really improved with our trips to the mountains and I’ve even been out of state several times… whoo hoo!  I look forward to the year ahead, attending skills classes by our very own Safety Director, and to many more fun trips and great camaraderie.
