The “Changing of the Year Ride” was a first for the NoCo IMRG as we were on our motorcycles riding out the 2019 year as it faded away, and rode into 2020. This was our last official Chapter ride for 2019, and the first official Chapter ride for 2020. We couldn’t think of a better way to bring in the New Year than being in the saddle of our motorcycles.
It was a perfect night for the December-January ride with clear skies, dry roads, and “warm” temperatures between 28-32 degrees. We met at Johnson’s Corner for a brief warm-up, then headed out on a short 15 minute ride. An Indian Motorcycle mounted Buffalo Brand air horn was sounded as the New Year came upon us, and the echo of our engines and roaring pipes sounded especially grand in the crisp air.
